Brooke Richey

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Brooke quickly dived into music when she was introduced at the age of 10, by learning the trumpet. Getting involved with jazz bands through school really drove her love of music, eventually leading her to commit most to her singing, starting with the jazz genre. A singer for 13 years, Brooke can be found singing in church, singing jazz with various groups and doing her own singer/songwriting.
She obtained her BA in Music Composition with a Minor in Worship Arts from Seattle Pacific University and has been an alumni since December 2015.
Brooke moved back to the Seattle area in March 2017 and currently works with Emmanuel Bible Church in Phinney Ridge as their worship director. Upon moving back to the Seattle, Brooke connected with BCO (Ballard Civic Orchestra) and now arranges a variety of pieces for the group and guest musicians, such as Jose Iniguez, Tenor for Seattle Symphony Chorus.
Compositionally, Brooke is keen on writing orchestral music and atonal chamber music. Aside from her personal projects, she is always looking to connect and collaborate with other musicians to create live music experiences.
