Brooke Richey
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Brooke quickly dove into music when she was introduced at the age of 10, by learning the trumpet. Getting involved with jazz bands through school drove her love of music, eventually leading her to commit most to her singing, starting with the jazz genre. A singer for 13 years, Brooke can be found singing in church, singing jazz with various groups and doing her own singer/songwriting.
She obtained her BA in Music Composition with a Minor in Worship Arts from Seattle Pacific University and has been an alumni since December 2015.
Brooke moved back to the Seattle area in March 2017 and has since worked with Emmanuel Bible Church in Phinney Ridge as worship director, connected with BCO (Ballard Civic Orchestra) as a cellist, conductor, and has assisted their public relations director. Brooke has collaborated with Jose Iniguez, Seattle Symphony Chorus Tenor, and founder of El Camino Foundation, as arranger of mariachi music for orchestra. Compositionally, Brooke is keen on writing orchestral music, atonal chamber music, and musical theatre, with a desire to write for ballet. Aside from her personal projects, she is always looking to connect and collaborate with other musicians to create live music experiences.
