Christopher Reed is a Kent, WA based composer, orchestrator, and arranger for both screen and stage. With roots in a wide variety of musical styles, from full symphonic orchestra to three-piece jazz combos and just about everything in between, Christopher has the keen ability to perfectly tailor the mood and feel of his music to any project. His music has been performed by ensembles around the Pacific Northwest and recorded by some of Seattle, Washington’s most elite musicians, including players with the Seattle Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. His music has also been featured in films originating from up and down the West Coast.
After completing an arrangement for his high school’s varsity-level concert band as a senior project, Christopher chose to focus on composition as a career and studied at George Fox University, graduating in 2012. He then went on to attend the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program at the Seattle Film Institute, studying under renowned composers Tim Huling and two-time Emmy Award winner Hummie Mann. Since receiving his Master of Music degree in 2014, he has worked with various clients, including directors based out of the Los Angeles area and the Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree.
