David Klock
David writes largely instrumental music for a variety of projects. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Neighborhood Arts Collective, a multi-disciplinary arts organization that creates pieces aimed at inspiring empathy for others. He recently composed scores for a documentary film that follows the development of a beautiful art installation on the border of Mexico & the US by Lizbeth de la Cruz Santana, as well as a community-based digital storytelling project that documents the human consequences of mass deportation. His music draws inspiration from Dmitri Shostakovich, Gustova Santaolalla, Rhiannon Giddens, Béla Bartók, and Otis Taylor.
