Game Sound Jam (2 Oct 2026)

Seattle Indies is launching their 2nd annual Sound Game Jam, where local game devs create a game STARTING with the music, and we encourage you to be part of it!

Composers will use this Google sheet to submit one looping track (duration: up to 1 minute) between Oct. 2nd. and Oct. 8th, including their theme, name, etc.

Devs will form teams in the Sound Game Jam Discord starting October 9th, create a game using at least 2 pieces of music, and submit their final entry by November 8th.

Winning teams will be announced on November 15th and receive Seattle Indies merch.

Join our friends at the Seattle Symphony for their free open house; a celebration featuring music, performances, storytellers, food and more surprises. In their own words:

"This day-long community festival encompasses performances by Totem Star artists, Chinese American Bear joined by a Seattle Symphony string quartet and singer-songwriter Nat Meek presented by KEXP's Sounds of Survivance. Other event highlights include a Tiny Tots concert presentation featuring Seattle Symphony musicians, a Romantasy panel and book signing with Pacific Northwest authors Taylor LaRue, Tessonja Odette and Elizabeth Stephens, hosted by The High Fae Housewives Podcast in partnership with Beguiled Books; an Arte Noir exhibition and opening reception featuring a Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra performance; a National Geographic Live presentation with photographer Steve Winter; and a video game music panel featuring Dave Gross, Kazuma Jinnouchi, Wilbert Roget II, Nadia Wheaton and Danny Baranowsky."

The SCA is turning 28 and we're excited to announce the date for our 2026 Annual Meeting! Join us for a birthday celebration, followed by a year-in-review presentation, plus open discussion about plans for 2027. Whether you're a longtime Member or simply interested in learning more about the Alliance, you won't want to miss this evening!

Food will be provided. Attendees are also welcome to bring potluck-style dishes.

If you’re thinking about creating a space for recording, mixing, or working with audio —whether it’s a room in an apartment, a basement, a garage, or a multi-room recording — Michael Cozzi will share a lot of practical, real-world advice for getting there without spending a fortune on the countless myths and upsells surrounding studio design and acoustics. Michael will talk about what actually matters, what doesn’t, and how you can achieve great results on a sensible budget. Join Michael in his own studio that he constructed to learn from a real example, and how the principles apply to audio spaces of almost any size or level of complexity—from improving the acoustics of a single room to designing and building a complete recording facility.

RSVPs are required for this event, and Michael will choose a handful of topics submitted via the RSVP form to focus the discussion. The address of Michael's studio will be sent upon registration.
