Call for Scores - Moonlit Rendezvous - Submission Deadline: January 7th, 2026

  • 18 Dec 2025
  • 7 Jan 2026

SCA Live Sessions is an ongoing concert series featuring the works of active SCA members, played by rotating lineups of world-class musicians. The concerts are hosted in our favorite Seattle venues and enjoyed by all (shoutout to Danny Ngan for this stellar picture from our last concert)!

The next Live Sessions concert will take place on Friday February 27, 2025 at Black and Tan Hall, a cooperatively-owned performance hall in south Seattle. For this Live Sessions concert, we are looking for submissions inspired by the deep intimacy and sultry feelings that come from being in love. February is special month, sharing both Black History month and Valentine's Day. Please submit pieces that explore themes around the spark of new love, yearning and longing for romance, the adoration of a partner, deep commitment to life as a pair, and devotion to your better half (even if not life-long). To maintain a safe space for our entire community of music creators, our review panelists will be ensuring every submission adheres to our Code of Conduct.

This time around, we are excited to announce Mercedes Nicole as our featured artist! She will be joined by Antonius Mulia on piano, Kevin McCarthy on bass, and Bradley Papineau on drums. The group specializes in Rhythm & Blues, Neo-Soul, and jazz. This is also the first Live Sessions concert featuring a vocalist submitters can write for!
