Jane Lang Davis Creation Lab Opportunity (Seattle Opera)

Our friends at the Seattle Opera are now accepting applications for their Jane Lang Davis Creation Lab program, which trains emerging opera composers and librettists in the Pacific Northwest in the craft of collaborative writing for the opera stage. The culminating project of the 18-month program will be to write a new 20-minute opera, which will be presented in concert in March 2028.

Composers, songwriters, librettists, lyricists, playwrights, and poets of all genres are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Sunday, August 2, 2026.
