The Seattle Composers Alliance is excited to welcome producer/sound designer/audio engineer Ben Georges to share his expertise on home studio setups for a variety of budgets and needs. Ben will discuss options for computers, DAW/interface, studio monitors, microphones, headphones, and accessories. Please send us your studio setup questions, and Ben will be happy to address them for you in our discussion.
About our Speaker: Ben Georges is an established music producer, sound designer, and audio engineer in the Seattle area. His passion is working with content creators to make their creative visions a reality in all forms of storytelling. He’s a well known face at one of Seattle’s most recognized post production studios – Formosa Interactive (formerly Clatter & Din) – where he has worked on sound and music for bands, films, games, audiobooks, and more. Ben started his career producing music soundtracks for indie films and games while earning his BA in Audio Production from The Art Institute of Seattle. As a music creator himself, Ben has particular insights on the technical aspects of music creation, and the necessary equipment to produce great sounding work. In addition his musical interests, Ben is passionate about mental health, communication, photography, human behavior, and the outdoors.
