The SCA is pleased to partner with Music Works Northwest, Patchwerks, and Modular Seattle for an exciting opportunity to learn about and enjoy the music created with modular synthesizers! Join us at Music Works Northwest in Bellevue for an immersive clinic by Patchwerks co-founder, Cindy Reichel, and an evening concert of contemporary music by local artists.
Clinic: 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Cindy Reichel of Patchwerks is a musician, artist, performer, entrepreneur, and educator. As co-founder of Patchwerks, Seattle’s premier synthesizer shop and performance space, she has been instrumental in creating a community of like minded music makers and providing festivals, education, and retail support. This clinic will offer hands on experience with the Moog Mavis giving participants insights into creating their own sound, thinking out of the box and getting away from preset patches. Seating is limited. RSVP required by 3/25/24.
Contemporary Music Concert: 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Music Works Northwest alumni and faculty Oliver Crosby, Clark Grogan and Rob Frain will be joined by Patchwerks affiliated artists for a concert of original music. The concert will feature compositions created with software, synth and modular elements utilizing a variety of styles and processes.
