We'll be opening registration for our second ever Studio Sessions on September 1st, and we want SCA members to be part of it! Composers, bands, and artists of all genres will be registering for the program, to have professional musicians record on their tracks, but we need arrangers to write the sheet music!
The deadline to get on the Studio Sessions Vol. 2 arranger roster is August 30th.

The Seattle Composers Alliance is sponsoring the Seattle Indies Expo (SIX) for the fourth year in a row. The deadline has passed to redesign music/audio for a game clip, but SIX is free and open to all to attend! Connect with game devs, playtest some games, and swing by the SCA table to say hi!
The SCA is thrilled to co-host our September Monthly Meetup with the Seattle Music Commission!
The Seattle Music Commission is responsible for advising the city on policies and programs that enhance our local music industry. One of their core missions is to make Seattle a place where musicians thrive. This meetup will be a great opportunity to meet current Music Commissioners and share your thoughts and experiences on what Seattle can do to better support our music scene.
If you're simply looking to meet new music creators, venue owners, organization leaders, and more, you also won't want to miss this partnered event!

Monthly Meetup is open to all!
SCA is now accepting submissions for an upcoming Reading Session! In this session, composers will have the opportunity to hear a first time run-through of their piece and receive feedback from musicians in real time!
We are excited to welcome the Nelda Swiggett Quintet as the featured ensemble. Piano, bass, drums, horns, and more will be available for composers to write for.
SCA Members are invited to submit a piece to be played or simply sit in and observe. RSVPs are required to secure a spot. Pieces do not need to be finalized to submit. Participants will simply bring printed copies for the ensemble on September 17th.

Last September, SCA President Seven Sky shared tools to help freelancers track their time, mileage, and finances. At this Expert Speaker Series talk, he'll be unveiling SCALE, a free, open source, locally-hosted, AI-free application to help freelancers save time and money, so they can spend more time being creative.
